Disconnection
The purpose of this lesson is to deepen students’ understanding of Brenda’s story by analysing her writing style and language. Exploring the lens of disconnection through multiple character experiences, students will reflect on their own Cultural Tale, the Waya Gilahna Framework and develop a deeper understanding of cultural perspectives. Students will continue to develop and use critical thinking skills, making connections between the story and their own personal experiences, thus building empathy.
